On The Boards: San Rafael

San Rafael will be a 6,000 square-foot home overlooking the Arroyo Seco on South San Rafael Avenue in Pasadena. Set on a 1.35-acre lot, the existing 910 square-foot carriage house was originally part of the adjacent Martindale estate designed in 1924 by Joseph Kucera. Its grounds feature a dining terrace and original stone fireplace, as well as a pond fed by an artifical stream and associated stone walls and paths credited to the landscape architect Winifred Starr Dobyns.
